Profile:

Dr. Vest is originally from Wichita, Kansas and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Gustavus Adolphus College in St Peter, MN. He then completed his medical training at Des Moines University, obtaining a doctorate degree in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in 2008.

Dr. Vest’s residency training was completed at Wayne State University – Detroit Medical Center, which includes Detroit Receiving Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Michigan; both of which are level one trauma centers. Comprehensive training in podiatric surgery, trauma surgery, pediatric injuries and reconstructive surgery was completed during his three-year residency program. Dr. Vest’s interests in foot and ankle surgery extend from hammertoes and bunions to ankle fractures and complex foot reconstructions. He is one of the few surgeons in Nebraska to receive additional advanced training in total ankle joint replacement surgery.

Through his training and experience, Dr. Vest learned both conservative and surgical management of all aspects of foot and ankle pathology. Dr. Vest has been published in a major medical journal and continues to pursue podiatric research. From preventative medicine to foot and ankle trauma and reconstruction, Dr. Vest is committed to improving your foot and ankle health concerns. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Nebraska Podiatric Medical Association and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Vest was  appointed to the Nebraska Board of Health by Governor Dave Heineman.
